The Hornady Ram Rod End is designed to protect the tip of the projectile so there is no damage to the tip or the surface of your muzzleloading bullet.  This will preserve the ballistic characteristics of the projectile. 

This attachment is meant to fit the 50 caliber Hornady SST bullet and will perfectly match the ogive to protect the tip of that particular bullet while seating in your rifle.  10x32 threads.
