Excellent Good rifle for the price, comes packed in cosmoline. Most numbers matching, floorplate was force matched. Bore was in good shape, shoots straight and overall rust free.

I love my "Garbage Rod"! Mosin Nagant 91/30s Are no Mausers, not even close. The Bolt Action on any of the Mosin Nagant variants is very rough compared to other comparable bolt action rifles of it's generation. With that said I love my "Garbage Rod" My 1942 Izhevsk was Arsenal Refurbished so it has matching numbers with what appears to be a new barrel with very few rounds shot through it. The cosmoline cleaned up easy enough, but it was almost a full days job to clean, dry, lubricate and reassemble. Mine shoots as accurate as I am with 6"-8" groups at 100 yards using the stock iron sights and "spam can" surplus ammo. I put a LimbSaver on mine and it's easy and fun to shoot all day. Highly recommend 91/30s if you can get one with a shiny barrel and decent condition for a reasonable cost.
